Dynamic Mast Control
Safe handling of goods and cargo at the highest level
Dynamic Mast Control is an operator assistance system for reach trucks that reduces mast swings, especially at high lift heights, improving efficiency and safety in the warehouse.
The masts of push mast trucks used in tall warehouses can start to swing when placing goods at height. This increases the risk of collisions with racks and damage to cargo and equipment. Drivers who experience the mast swaying will normally wait until the mast is steady, wasting valuable time.
By adopting dynamic mast control, the oscillations in the mast will be handled with specific electrical countermovements, thus ensuring that the handling process is significantly faster and safer.
How does it work?
- Sensors at the top of the mast detect any oscillations.
- At the same time, measurement units determine the current lifting height and load weight.
- A central control unit processes all the data and sends out control signals to gain control of the mast.
- Based on the data and control signals, the oscillations are balanced out using electrical counter-movements.
