Fuel cells

Fuel cells offer an interesting alternative here. In the fuel cell, hydrogen and oxygen react to produce electricity, heat and water.

Forklifts with fuel cells can be filled with hydrogen in just one to three minutes. The high availability of the truck is a big advantage in tough multi-shift operation. This makes the technology of interest for use in production environments as well as intensive logistics services. The infrastructure for hydrogen filling can also be implemented in a space-saving manner.

Internal combustion engine

Combustion engine trucks offer a particular advantage over other solutions: their large ground clearance means they can handle even the most uneven ground conditions. Above all, they also impress thanks to their powerful engine performance. They can handle load capacities of up to 18 tonnes and are suitable for heavy applications.

Linde forklifts have quiet and economical engines and can be used for many operating hours without interruption. The service intervals are impressively long, and easily accessible service modules ensure that the maintenance processes are handled quickly.

Lead-acid battery

Electric forklifts with lead batteries are still a good option for reduced utilization. This applies, for example, to dealers who only need the truck for loading and unloading for a few hours each day. The investment costs are the same for both IC trucks and electric forklifts with lead-acid batteries. Lead-acid trucks are generally somewhat more economical in terms of service and are also suitable for indoor use. This technology has proven itself through decades of use.

Lithium-ion battery

With the Linde Li-ION solution, you increase the truck's availability and make operations more cost-effective, safer and more sustainable. It is generally suitable for all applications, as the battery can be charged in short breaks that increase productivity. Its advantages really come into play for intensive applications, such as multi-shift use, use in cold storage or in the beverage industry. It is also suitable for particularly sensitive work areas such as in the pharmaceutical and food industries. Different battery capacities are also available in combination with different charging capacities, which ensures a high degree of flexibility.

The efficiency level is up to 30 percent better compared to lead-acid batteries, which means lower energy costs.
